If you have arrived in the UK as a refugee and have gained the right to work, we can help you to look for and apply for jobs. If you already have a job, we can help you to access further training to get a new job or be promoted.

Where we are based

We are based in venues throughout the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly area. If you prefer, you can also have a meeting with us online.

About us

We have 3 members of the delivery team; Jo Hosking our Senior Key Worker, Laura Palmer our Skills Coach and Jamie Rock our Key Worker.  They are supported by Linda Price the Compliance Officer.

Refugee Assist is delivered by Education Development Trust as part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly People Hub, a partnership of 12 providers.

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

 

Eligibility criteria

You must have the right to work in the UK, be residing in Cornwall and over 16 to take part in this programme.
