Case studies from our work in the UK Having worked with schools in the UK for more than 30 years, we have a longstanding reputation for delivering successful support programmes for educators at national scale. As a research-led organisation, we are committed to developing truly impactful programmes using evidence-based solutions which really work. Below are are some of the latest case studies which highlight the impact our work is having in the UK. Accelerate Case study Accelerate Accelerate was created and developed by Education Development Trust in 2018 in partnership with the Chartered College of Teaching to support early career teachers with the aim of quickly raising quality of practice and increasing confidence. Funded by the Department for Education in England, the programme was created for schools which are classed as requiring improvement or are within an area defined as having the greatest need. Case study Core Maths Support Programme Education Development Trust [operating at the time as CfBT Education Trust] was selected to introduce a new Core Maths qualification with a focus on problem solving rather than theory, designed for students who had a GCSE grade C or above in mathematics but who were not planning to take the subject at A-level. Case study Early Years Professional Development Programme The Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP) provides high quality, evidence-informed continuous professional development for practitioners working with children between the ages of two and four in some of the most disadvantaged areas in the country. Over the course of the programme, around 3,000 practitioners will gain Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications in Language and Literacy, as proof of the difference they are making to increase children’s communication skills and improve outcomes in language, literacy and mathematics. Case study Future Teaching Scholars On behalf of the Department for Education in England, Education Development Trust is delivering the Future Teaching Scholars programme, a new route into teaching for passionate maths and physics students to create a new generation of confident and highly skilled teachers. Case study The Connected Learning Centre The Connected Learning Centre (CLC) supports schools and other settings in using digital technologies creatively and critically. It provides outstanding curriculum support, technical services and professional development. Case study The Schools Partnership Programme The Schools Partnership Programme is our cluster-based school improvement model based on rigorous and impact-focused peer review. We support school leaders to drive their own improvement, through a continuous cycle of self-review, peer review and school-to-school support and improvement.
