At Education Development Trust, our vision is a world in which all lives are transformed through excellent education. We combine global research and our longstanding expertise with regional knowledge to inform education policy and practice and deliver programmes around the world. Through our work and expertise – which spans from early years education right through to post-school careers – we seek to strengthen education systems, transform teaching and learning, ensure effective transitions into work, and contribute to global responses to key education challenges.

EdDevTrust has been implementing the FCDO-funded TARGET (Technical Assistance to Reinforce General Education Quality Improvement Programme for Equity, GEQIP-E) project in Ethiopia since August 2019, providing targeted technical assistance to the Ministry of Education at Federal, Regional, Woreda and School levels. TARGET programme is designed to complement and amplify the effects of GEQIP-E by improving school and system performance through direct interventions and relevant system strengthening, working on four integrated tasks in which the initiative relating to school to work transition (careers and employability) intervention is part of the programme under Task Three to pilot innovative interventions.  This pilot intervention will be undertaken in a total of ten schools from Amhara and Oromia regions to identify workable models at school level in relation to employability and careers. It also aims to provide policy information to the Ministry of Education on preparing students for the future careers and employability.

As part of its effort, EdDevTrust invites suitably qualified and experienced CSOs/NGOs to submit full proposal for funding on a competitive process under its TARGET project grant window. Up to two projects will be awarded for a maximum project period of 1 year (12 months). This is a competitive call and there will be a due diligence and organisational capacity assessment to select final grantees.

The call for proposal (CFP) includes guidelines or terms of reference (TOR), application template, detail budget plan, work plan and the log frame matrix (LFM) to be completed and submitted.
