EdTechX panel: Creative use of technology in the age of remote learning

As schools have closed in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, remote learning has almost overnight become the ‘new normal’ for schools in the UK. In such circumstances, the London Connected Learning Centre (CLC) – part of Education Development Trust – has had a key role to play, using its expertise in using digital technology to support schools through these challenging times.

In addition to providing extensive guidance on remote learning tools, London CLC has been providing technical support to help ensure quality teaching and learning can continue, as well as continuing to provide continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers.

In light of CLC’s established expertise and its experience of supporting schools throughout the Covid-19 crisis to date, Sarah Horrocks, Director of London CLC, and Caitlin McMillan, its Teaching and Learning Consultant, will be joining teaching professionals from two of the schools that they work with on a panel for the EdTechX virtual summit. The panel, on ‘Creative Use of Technology in the Age of Remote Learning’ will feature discussion on how schools can encourage creativity in their pupils from afar, and how to use technology creatively to inspire children to learn.

The panel discussion will be recorded on Wednesday 13th May 2020, and will be available to watch online here.
