London CLC works with schools across London, throughout the UK and internationally from its base in south London. Welcoming school groups to the centre or offering in-school help and support, the team is made up of expert teachers, computer science, and online safety specialists, trainers, technicians, filmmakers, music technologists, designers and family learning tutors. Together, they specialise in:
- helping teachers become confident in teaching with and teaching about digital technologies through professional learning opportunities;
- providing technology-based activities and projects for children and young people;
- providing technical support for schools' IT infrastructure and independent advice on technology solutions;
- helping headteachers and education leaders to develop their digital strategy;
- supporting the teaching of computer science, digital literacy, and online safety.
Technology across the curriculum
London CLC has worked with schools for 20 years putting creativity and real-world contexts at the heart of learning opportunities for young people, teachers, and parents. We involve children and young people in using digital technologies to create, experiment, design and explore. We have developed a programme of creative technology-based learning and educational technology solutions and we foster collaboration between teachers, students and parents.
We are proud to work in partnership with businesses, community and cultural organisations including IBM, Tate, British Film Institute, and National Portrait Gallery.
